Pappa G

Who is the hottest artist to hit the scene out of all of this year's newly based talent? Pappa G of course.  Born in Camp Springs, MD, he is one of the nation's own, but with a southern twist.  He has traveled the world, from Texas to Japan; with his deep southern roots, he stays true to his relatives south of the Mason Dixon line. This young, boastful, yet humble artist says that he combines "east coast lyrics with dirty south flavor" all wrapped up in one.  Already having a small fan base in Georgia and Virginia, he seems to have the right ingredients for success. At only 23, it is absolutely a guarantee to watch him make it big as he grows among hip hop's elite. With underground hits including "Back Against Da Wall", a thought driven motivational song and "Party Till' the Lights Come On", a jamboree of sorts, it is difficult to wonder why he is not in the music industry as we speak. Some of his inspirations include 8 Ball & MJG, Biggie, and Marvin Gaye.  It won't take long for this VA artist's time to come.  Pappa G's album is scheduled for release February 2006.
